19th Century Factories

This web site discusses factories in the nineteenth century. It is mainly focused on two industry;  the textile industry and the coal industry.

It provides detailed discussion of child labour, working conditions, punishments, the domestic system and many more subjects.

I have chosen this industry because it was one of the major  ones which went through the huge changes that we now call the industrial revolution.
